June was actually a very pleasant month despite its business. I got to enjoy my first successful carrot harvest. Harper and I had such a nice time together pulling them out of the ground and guessing which colors we’d get next. I can’t want to plant more and have her help me again. My winter squash are really starting to put fruit on and I’m looking forward to trying those.

I’m entering the flower abundance phase of gardening and I couldn’t be happier. I have always hated Florida & its heat. I’ve constantly complained about not being able to enjoy myself because of the heat. Even when I first started gardening, summer was never a fun gardening time. But having these flowers that I only really get to see right now, makes it a 100% better. They are a main reason of what draws me out into the garden. I love to see them and the life that they bring.
